2008 and 2009

2008 is a special year for most people, including me. After today, 2008 will be into a history. People will only know the past events that happened in 2008 through a history book. From the environment, till the politic, social, and economic. This 2008 has bring up so many unpleasant memories for us if we look back before welcome a new 2009.

It's a year of:
1. Massive natural disasters (Sichuan Earthquake, Myanmar Cyclone, China snow storms)
2. The most successful ever Olympic game in Beijing, China
3. Poisonous milk powder made in China problem
4. Over-rise of oil price causes the rise of inflation rate
5. United States presidential candidate election - Barack Obama becomes the first Black in US won the election
6. Terrorist attack in Mumbai, India
7. Bangkok airport protest
8. The worse ever Economic crisis starts, which affect all over the World and to be continued in 2009
9. The shock and awe shoe throwing to George Bush event
10. The bom attack of Gaza by Israel after Christmas
11. The arrest of ex-taiwan president who involved in corruption charges

It's also a year which I am:
1. Graduated from University
2. Found a job in Kuching, which will bond me in same company in next 5 years
3. Continue to study as a Master student
4. Conquerred the Mt. Kinabalu in Sabah
5. and Started to think about the future in terms of marriage, family matter, career etc.

Recall back, it's a year which i think i learn alot from what i see in these influential past events. Both the bad and good side of a human being.

Though many would say 2009 will be another tough year, and maybe even worse than 2008. I believe in a new year, we should have a new dream and be prepared for all the challenges
