Bersih 3.0

Compared to Bersih 2.0, i wasn't really into this Bersih 3.0. Again, things didn't turn out as peaceful as Amiga first proposed - Sit and Protest Peacefully. From the medias, usually videos uploaded by the Bersih supporters and the Police reporters, that was a serious car accident which apparently knocked down a few people until one is dead. This caused panic and the violence begin. What i seen from the videos, and from many comments on social networks, many actually against the polices and thought they are just the same bunch of "bad guy" who did the "bad things" to people. They believed polices were there mainly to spray tear gas on them. Of cause, we don't know what happen actually. But i want to point out few things here:

1. What is this rally mainly for? If for the request of cleaner election, why there is violence? Why there are people look like they were there to cause the chaos, rather than to protest peacefully?

2. Why must be Dataran Merdeka? If you are mean to have a place to gather people to ask for authority attention, there is other option where the permit is allowed.

3. Why must always against the Police? I know they are very corrupted, but our people still need police to safeguard us, not all the police are the same. Are they merely against them, just because of the bias or against to the current government?

Bersih 3.0 is successful in many places, but surely not in KL. Because of their ignorance to authority's permit at first, the Bersih 3.0 is fail before it ever started this morning.

how budget 2012 benefits me?

After i read the Malaysia Budget 2012 plan, i want to know how our government plans and takes action to implement them? Our fellow BN politicians said this is by far the best Budget plan ever, with so much incentives and benefits to be given to public. Yes, it is for public but not for everyone. It is purely just for the sake of election victory and get the most votes from those directly benefited. One very large group will be from the government servants:


1. Civil servants get pay rise between RM80 to RM320
2. 600,000 Govt pensioners will benefit from an additional annual pension increment of 2%
3. Govt will extend the compulsory retirement age from 58 to 60 years old to optimise civil servants’ contribution
4. Civil servants will be offered tuition fee assistance for part-time studies, including 5,000 masters and 500 doctoral scholarships
5. A special programme will be introduced for 175,000 army personnel who are not eligible for pensions
6. RM3,000 will be given to ex-members of the special constable and auxiliary police as well as widows and widowers

Second group will be those from rural areas, poor:
1. To provide greater access to bank services for the rural population, Bank Simpanan Nasional will appoint agents in rural areas
2. RM90mil for the Orang Asli for basic necessities, including the expansion of the clean water supply project. For the Orang Asli affected by the landslides at Sungai Ruil, RM20mil is provided for their relocation to new homes
3.  Govt will establish the Special Housing Fund for Fishermen to build and refurbish houses
4. 500,000 will benefit from KAR1SMA, which provides assistance to poor senior citizens and children and disabled people
5. RM5bil to develop rural infrastructure, including RM1.8bil to the Rural Road Programme & Village-Link Road Project

The PM also proposed few incentives to keep the economy growth going:
1. Government will allocate RM978mil to accelerate the development in five regional corridors
2. develop the Kuala Lumpur International Financial District, with incentives including income tax exemptions for firms
3. RM18bil of the RM20bil PPP Facilitation Fund will be used for high impact projects, with RM2 billion for bumiputera entrepreneurs


Sadly, as usual the education and science/research development is always the one be ignored. Surprisingly, this year, less budget allocated for healthcare services. In fact, to push the economy to be progressively well, the plan should propose more targets on how to attract the foreign investments or to generate the income. Few things are missed:
1. How to encourage the small-medium entrepreneur to grow business?
2. How to generate income from agriculture (as that's the main sector from larger population of rural areas)?
3. How to improve the minumum wages of worker? How to control the incoming of foreign employees, mainly from Indonesia?and etc.


I don't know how our PM defines how good is our country's economy, but definitely with the increasing debt that we have, having a budget plan that proposes "more sweets" for public, then ignoring how to generate income, is very dangerous. We don't want to be next Greece!


 

Downfall of the economy

The debt crisis of US caused worldwide economy downfall since last Thursday. Clicked into the KLSE sites, nearly 1,100 listed stocks in "reds" (went down in price). Ran into a trading class last month, the statistic predicted 2012/2013 will likely to be the economy downfall year. Can't believe it happened so early this year. While we think that is our little investment on stock, our belief drew us concerns that the stocks we invested in should be able to bounce back in the near future. However, what worries me is the real crisis behind it - the Inflation. This will affect many of us directly, especially we earn most of our incomes as employees. Things will getting expensive, yet income never increases. Our government still having very big gap in debt, with limited foreign investment in the past two years, money that our PM put in to attract foreign investments will surely not achievable in the next coming days. Even US is having debt crisis, caused the pull off of money from their investments, do you think these investments will come to us? They rather choose Indonesia, Vietnam or Philippine because of low labor cost and open economy system. As many experts predicted, i also believe if our government don't solve the root problem, we're not far behind the Greece and Italy. Apparently, domestic economy doesn't grow and earn for our country since our in-house buying ability is getting lesser with high inflation nowadays. Is time to spend less and save more, whatever you can.

Bersih 2.0 Worldwide

It might be an end for 709 rally, but it just a start to demand a better Malaysia. Thanks for everyone who showed the supports.

This video clip showed that even there is only one Malaysian left, he has the right and freedom to speak out and fight for his country. The reason is very simple, because he loves the country.

今天我穿了黄衣

那是一个非常坚决地决定，虽然很多人说709的大集会根本是民联策划为了要赢下次的大选。可是我的立场和许多真正为了民主运动的人民一样，那纯粹是为了司法公正。

今天这个国家，不管是执政，还是反对派，他们当中充斥许多只是为了要得到权力而出来竞选的。可是，很多人似乎忘记还有广大的人民，关心这个国家的政治是一心希望这个国家好。他们要和平，要公平，要透明，要真正为人民着想的领袖。但是今天，这个国家执政了超过五十年的政党领袖，已经从控制宪法到利用司法的公义来达到他们的政治目的。所以，你认为他们会不会在背后操作选委会，导致选举舞弊？

我选择相信这个国家的司法不再行它应该行的公义。如果司法依然公正不二，如何解释现在还有许多反对党领袖被司法对付？如果这个国家的司法没问题，为何我们会怀疑它的公义？你是否认为，我们会去怀疑今天的司法公义，是因为反对党的影响。那你应该要问问自己，为何你会被反对党影响？如果你不是因为对这个国家不满，没有任何一个人会被反对党的言论影响。

今天每一个人都有言论自由和不同想法，你的立场如何，我不从而知。我关心的是如果一个应该行公义的司法却被政治人物利用来达到目的的，这个国家永远不会民主。

所以今天我穿了黄衣，为了要司法公正，不是偏帮任何一个政党。所以请不要把这个和平集会当成是政治目的，你的投票还是神圣的。你也不想你投的一票被胡乱被投到你本来不想投的对象吧？

Support Bersih

To show my support to coming Bersih 2.0 event, i turned my blog into yellow color theme. Although it is shame to hear and see how our government use the police force and inappropriate use of law to arrest the Bersih 2.0 participants, it is yet to scare us away to speak out and fight for a fairer and transparent election. This kind of event is not a crime and no one is thinking to overthrow the current government. Even is, that's very difficult to do it right now. Most of us are highly educated, so we expect the same from our government. A fairer and transparent election is to make sure what we voted is counted, and convince us that's the government that we want. I don't think this gathering will affect anyone, nor the current government, if they realize that's just a channel for our residents to fight for the good sake of this country, for now and future. Nevertheless, i pray the event can go on smoothly and peaceful on 9 July 2011 in KL and other parts of the world.

一个大马，两个巫统的背后原因

最近读了独立在线一些报道，对黄进发博士分析的“一个大马，两个巫统”深表同意。这个事件又被联想到“官联公司和土著扶持政策”。两个事件都有一个共同点，那就是首相那吉先生所要提倡的市场自由化，国家经济转型配套，一个马来西亚口号等，不外乎是为了要赢取非马来人的选票和支持。然而另一方面，巫统的右派领袖比如副首相幕尤丁为了要巩固传统/乡区/马来人主义至上的马来人的支持，就频频捍卫新经济土著扶持政策和偏激马来主义人士/代表，就像前锋报等等。国内的政治趋势，虽然看起来那吉是决策者，但是他却同时默认其余巫统的右派领袖的马来主义。其实他也很聪明，因为他的“一石二鸟”的计略：他就担任温和，属于吸引非马来人的支持，所以他就实行经济转型配套（包括高收入国宏愿），为了就是让掌握国家经济动脉的非马来人的支持。另外，他允许他的副手去做“黑脸”，故意挑衅华人和保障土著新经济政策的运行，为了就是要得到马来人的选票。讲来讲去，这个“分散投资”的计略就是为了重夺国会三分之二议席，和保国阵当政府的政权。到今时今日，这个国家已经充斥许多官僚，朋党主义，保住政权可以确保这些政治人物的“财路”继续源源不绝。如果我的这个假说成立的话，其实那吉的经济转型不一定行的通，他只要透过这个计划继续把纳税人的钱“以看起来合法的方式”流进去他的朋党/商业伙伴就够了。无论如何，那只是我们的假设而已，信与否，还是看个人。不过，肯定的事，我对那吉的经济转型计划去吸引外资 - 没有信心。反而，我对巫统右派的“威胁”华人和偏激马来主义的舆论 = 非常担心！可能还没等到我国成高收入国时，这个国家已分裂成严重的种族分歧。为此，我们应该响应“以这个国家的民主，人道的前提上去取争取大家（不分种族，个人利益）的共同权益”。

Can we make it to be high income nation by 2020?

Our PM Najib is confident that his Economy Transformation Programme (ETP) works to make us a high income nation by 2020. To make this works, he as Minister of Finance has pump in many money to industries to push more activities going. It surely take time to see the impact, whether positive or negative. If you see the National Key Economy Area (NKEA), it still involves a lot of construction activities. From new MRT system, Greater Kuala Lumpur to education areas, please observe that in 12 NKEA, much money to be invested is to construct and re-construct the new building and set up. The money surely benefit those construction companies. We’re now moving into 3rd quarter fiscal year, with poor investments from foreign countries like China or US, experts expect the Malaysia economy growth will be mostly depend on the Najib’s ETP. Projects like new MRT system, new highway in Kuala Lumpur definitely boost up the stock shares of some construction companies. Despite the “hardware”, the government also pushing the TalentCorp to bring back Malaysians who left to work or reside in overseas. However, what most worrying us is that does the country has the platforms for them to show their talents? While Malaysia has been so much behind in technology, education, industry expertises compare to many countries, what can these talents do if they’re back in Malaysia?

Clearly, in that 12 NKEA, we can see how eagerly our PM wishing to get more job opportunities to young people. Instead of invest and make our university researches be world class, he prefer to bring in foreign universities like John Hopkin to Malaysia. Moreover, he seems not to realize that in order to get a country grow in high pace, the root is how solid the education system. Then we may ask, do we have a good education system? Even we do have a good education system, why we’re keep pushing more talents out to other countries like Singapore, China, Australia, US etc every year?

Is time to think whether this ETP does work to benefit the community, or to the politician or their relatives/close friends only. Of cause i myself desperately hope that this ETP works to improve our economy, at least to against a little bit of the inflation rises. But without considering the NEP and the growing racisms among some politicians, even this ETP works as success, no one will remember Najib as the one who bring fortune to the country but the one who split apart the unity of Malaysians in history. After all, that’s the very serious reason why most people choose to leave this country.

乱花钱的政府

自从去年结婚后，花了大半年才把之前花掉的储蓄存了回来。比起两年前因为买车，花了也是半年多的时间把花掉的钱填平，这次比上次更省，薪水也比较高，又有另一半承担部分家里开销，我们却花更长时间去存回花掉的数目。问题是通货膨胀。以前买五块钱的菜有一大堆，现在五块只够买两人吃的菜。以前一盘面一杯水五块钱还有的找，现在五块钱一碗吃不饱的面，一杯小茶要1-2块钱。两年前，我和当时还是我男朋友的许先生，吃到饱的早餐才八到十块钱，现在会吃到十块钱又稍微有点饱的可以偷笑了。通货膨胀的巴仙率不断提高，荷包的涨幅除了一成不变，要不然已经赶不上通货膨胀的快速成长。当政府说我们人民如果一直拿津贴，就好比吸鸦片时，我想问如果完全把津贴挪走，我们是不是要承担更多因为生活所需的负债？可能一些人还够吃和存点钱，试想想那些比较贫穷的，他们以后还能负担食物的开销嘛？他们有些人可能为了承担不断涨价的汽油，而不够钱去养家活口。当我们为了衣食住行的开销而烦恼时，政府的经济转型还没有实际效果，人民看到的是政府继续用纳税人的钱建高楼大厦，一个马来西亚电邮，一个马来西亚宴会，百万青年聚会，乱分配奖学金etc。虽然说现在全球都有通货膨胀的问题，可是很多时候我国的国阵花的钱在太多不很逻辑的用途上。请问这种爱乱花钱的政府要来干嘛？如果把那些钱改善交通，医药服务，科研发展，或帮助贫穷家庭，而不是用在培训一群小拿破仑的部门，偏袒承包商或朋党或种族主义者，胡乱施行奇怪政策。除了可以赢民心，还可以站在世界前端，其它国家看的起我们，为什么他们不要？我感到极度失望我们政府却有一大堆只有短视，没远视的领袖。

奖学金风波：一点感想

每年在这个时候都会有奖学金风波，那些明明成绩考很好的不只没获得国外奖学金，要不然就是拿到国内奖学金却是去读一些“幽灵”课程。他们有些人选择上诉，因为大部分是华人所以唯一代表华人在内阁的就是马华代表。马华的魏家祥又是副教育部部长，当全部人希望这副部长能替他们争取些公道时，好像正部长一点都不关心，然后又变成我们尊贵的首相来处理。一个是副教育部长，如果他要替学生争取公道，他跟谁争取？如果他有在跟正部长争取，为何又变成是首相来处理？如果说那是公共服务局的问题，到底它是附属谁的？如果它是财政部的，首相就要解决这一场风波。但是问题又有了，如果之前讲明了只有八科A才会获得奖学金，撇开不讲国外或国内奖学金，首相近期又表明有八科A又不一定获得奖学金，那么到底是谁制定的标准如何筛选那一个学生有资格获得奖学金？然后又如何决定他们该获得国外或国内的奖学金？这些学生在申请过程一定要表明想读那一个课系，那干嘛又有“幽灵”课程出现？然后是如何出现？到底是谁给奖学金，又是谁决定学生在大学要读的课系？

在这整些是看来，有两个极大因素。一是内阁部门乱分配权利，很明显公共服务局和高教育部门没有良好沟通。前提是如果公共服务局为了日后国内各个领域有一定的专才，它必须颁国内外奖学金给优秀学生。然而这些学生的成绩是根据教育部所制定的全国考试成绩，这个成绩就是决定学生进大学/社会的筹码。而高教育部监管整个国内大学录取率的过程，也必须有一定的知识来决定学生的大学入学课系，且与国外大学有一定的交流和沟通。在这公共服务局奖学金的事件上，公共服务局好比是一个老板负责出钱做员工培训，而高教育部就是“猎头人”/人力资源部替老板筛选适合的人选。如果有认真的沟通和做决定，“幽灵”课程应该不会出现。而且我们的副教育部长不可能乱吼乱叫不懂找谁投诉，首相也不必分身处理这小风波（如果比起经济课题）。第二因素是种族固打制。这其实是根本的问题，也很明显一直以来奖学金分配极不公平，根本没有根据学生的成绩来做考量。固打制的自私其实已不断的把马来西亚的人才送出国。从现在的国内政治趋势来看，即时换反对党做政府，国内的种族分裂不断升高，甚至有不少巫统领袖认为公共服务局奖学金应该分给马来人/土著而已。

我始终觉得每年的奖学金风波和上诉都会沦入到不了了而知，随时间冲淡政府希望公众慢慢淡忘这事，且不专注有效处理问题。与其说公众对这事不感到新鲜也不积极去上诉时，还是政府以为他们的固打制被公众接受时，其实每天都有一批国民以选择离这个国家去一个更能接受他们的地方。我想对那些不获得奖学金的学生讲，如果你对你的成绩有信心，又有理想，不一定靠政府奖学金你还是有机会的。加油！

人民的政治责任

2011 年的头一天，先上网看了几处国际新闻，不外是报道各国如何大肆庆祝跨年倒数活动，然后就报数某某国家的城市用了多少钱放烟花，不然就谁放的烟火最特别，还是最长的。其次，就是一些大国领袖对新的一年的展望。至于砂州的国际日报，就出一系列的大选报道。从中，有国内和国际在2010年的大事记回顾。其实2010已经是历史了，历史的回顾应该是提醒我们在过去的事件找出问题，然后寄望在新的一年作的更好。2010年，我国在政治上，社会课题，高等教育，经济上等等，还是处于得过且过的处境。唯一就是大家都嗅到可能国会大选的哨味，尤其是砂州。砂州人民从去年年中就预测来届州选的到来，可是一直到了2011年，除了白毛州席部长高调再婚，砂国阵不断派糖果给人民（拨款建路，建校etc.)，首相频频飞来访问，一系列报道执政党和在野党派谁参选，到底什么时候大选还是一个大问号。也有一种可能性就是，为了巩固国阵继续执政中央，砂州选可能和国会大选同时进行。马来西亚虽是英制民主制度，但是两线制还是很弱。可悲的是，很多年轻人（多数80后）选择不去理解这个国家的政治环境，更别说要登记选民投民主的一票。我看到一些报道，去采访80后年轻人对国阵和在野党的执政能力打分。有些采取中立的表态，有些认为两个党都是烂苹果，有些压根不懂有国阵和在野党之分！也难怪为什么这个国家一些领袖，部门越来越腐败，因为本来国以民为本，可是当人民选择不去关心政事，社会福利课题等等，这些国家领袖也就乱来，乱乱管，乱乱出点子，变成正事不做，还打人民的生计主意。一个国家是否健康成长，不外乎是他们服务对象是否有表态他们对执政政府的压力。以前大家过的好时，就开始不去关心国事，现在一大堆自称有高等教育资格的年轻一代，也对国事一点都不敏感。如果期待国家对人民好，人民必须对国内发生的事表态，一个巴掌打不响，那就该集合更大的力量去对执政政府施与压力，要给这些领袖知道，我们选你，你就要做事！除了这些，也感叹国内国外的民族，和因宗教引起的风波。2010岁末，2011第一天，埃及教会外的汽车爆炸案，伊拉克基督家庭被回教徒攻击的一系列报道，让今年新年过的好沉重。我是基督徒，向来和马来同胞过的很好，在砂州，我们彼此尊重，甚至当我们同座，我吃kolo mee (non-halal),他在我对面，也毫无冲突。比起国内一些州属，马来人领袖频频发大论“回中国”等等。我们在东马还过得挺融洽的。这不外乎是人为，和国内一些人的政治目的。宗教本质是和平，只有无事生非的一群人才以宗教名义以其达到个人目的。2011年跟往年将会差不多，大事小事天天发生，这就要看人要如何妥当处理。与其希望这个国家，这个地球怎样好，也该问问我们的良心是否履行我们的责任。

Happy 53rd birthday! Malaysia!

- No more monopoly, no more implement a new rule and regulation without quality consideration with the rest of your cabinet, ministry, parliament members.

Proverbs 3: 19
“The Lord by skillful and godly Wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding He has established the heavens.”

- God gives the authority of His chosen one to lead us have better life on this earth home, the leaders of our country should use their knowledge wisely and be understanding, patient, humble to lead this country.

Ecclesiastes. 10:17
“A nation will prosper when its ruler is mature, and its leaders don't party too much.”

Proverbs 29:4
“A leader of good judgment gives stability.”

- Mature is the key word, no more childish act, no more use mouth to attack your own citizens. Every citizen in your country is united as one national, be fair and therefore the country can expand and grow.

Proverbs 29:2
“When good people run things, everyone is glad.”
 
- We sincerely hope our leaders are both disciplined, judge using their wisdom and follow God’s words. <In other word, if the leaders are good, He or She, and therefore the party should win the election without much hassles.>



For us as citizens of Malaysia, we should:

Romans 13:1
“Be a good citizen. All governments are under God. Insofar as there is peace and order, it's God's order. So live responsibly as a citizen.”
 
1 Peter 2:13-17
“Respect the authorities, whatever their level; they are God's emissaries for keeping order. It is God's will that by doing good, you might cure the ignorance of fools... Exercise your freedom by serving God, not by breaking the rules. Treat everyone you meet with dignity. Love your spiritual family. Revere God. Respect the government.”

- As a citizen, to make this country better, we all have the responsibility. No more breaking the rules, no more critics to other races (if not relevant), be wise when using your words, be humble all the time, be thankful you have safe country as gifted by God

2 Chron. 7:14
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

- No matter what the problems the country face, we should call our Jesus name, seek for forgives, pray for our leaders, and therefore the blessing from God will be delivered to our country on earth.


To all citizens from different races living in this country, always remember:

“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.”
 
Proverbs 10:12
“Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.”

- No matter how critics has been spread across media about the racial issues, have faith and respect, big love is when you don’t tend to revenge and hate, but forgive and accept them.

不懂得感恩

I get super angry when I read about this post after woke up this morning, it spoiled my day and my good mood totally. Kns.

Because we Chinese didn’t vote to BN, so we’re betrayer don’t know how to say “Thank you”!

Because we Chinese voted most to other parties, now they want to punish us and don’t want to give more grants to build more Chinese schools!

Because we Chinese only secondary citizens as claimed by them, so they think they can say whatever like this to against us?!!

Because we Chinese too smart to know what’s the truth and we go overseas to seek better opportunity, now they want to tell lie to other races that we’re not patriotic at all?!!

If you want to know the truth, I can tell you that:

We Chinese, don’t vote you because we Malaysian been ruled for so many years, what we see is the “depletion of growth” instead of improving in economics, policies, moral etc. compared to other countries.

We Chinese, don’t vote you because you buy the vote from voters! It’s a rumour, but why do you think majority citizens from entire Malaysia still believe this “rumour” even no evidence? This reflected how “dirty” of your ruling government all this while gave such impression. You should sit down and think!

We Chinese, don’t vote you because it’s democracy. What’s the meaning of election? Aren’t we vote the one we think he is right candidate and do we need You to tell us who should vote for? If yes, why need election?

We don’t curse if our favored candidate doesn’t win the election. And, You win yet you threatened us.

In fact, You are the one that never realize our existence and we’re not fool and not played by You. Please, go learn what is “Respect” lah!
