Sabah? Sarawak? Malaysia?

Not many people know about Malaysia, especially for most ang moh.

We usually came across with stories like people always get confused between Malaysia and Singapore, from 20 years ago, people would ask "Is it Malaysia inside the Singapore", and 20 years later, some people even ask "Is Malaysia, the country that near the Singapore".

Apparently, our Malaysia still not yet appear as a strong image can be identified easily on a global map for many people. They only know Malaysia, when we point (and we've no choice) to them that we're Singapore's neighbour.

And, i'm not sure how many people know our Sarawak and Sabah is actually belong to Malaysia. That's ok when ang moh don't know, since they already confuse btw Malaysia and Singapore.

That'll be funny when our own Malaysian doesn't know abt Sarawak and Sabah are part of Malaysia. And it really happen in an adult Malaysian, that lived in this country for many many years.

When i went to study in KL, some people asked me where do i come from. I told them I'm from Sarawak. That's some weird reaction on their faces, and asked me back "Is it Sabah u trying to say?", or else they asked "How u survive since there is no road in Sarawak?, i thought it's all rural areas, and the only transport is the river".

And, today i heard from a doctor this afternoon. He said he ever came across a similar question from a Malaysian. He met a new friend when he was in KL, and when he told him that he is from Sabah. That guy said "Oh Sabah.." and he asked him "So what do u think about Malaysia?"

Very clearly we can see, even a true Malaysian can't differentiate btw states in Malaysia, how are we suppose to make ang moh believe that we're actually exist?
