September updates

1. Project
   

• Submitted an abstract to an international congress, whether accepted or not, still don't know. But good to try, at least contributed some data for the project
  
• Still struggling in sample preparation part, got many samples appeared degraded on gel which I don't know what went wrong. I quite confident with my skills and the protocols after few months of struggling tried to produce good samples for microarray. Anyway, RNA degradation is something very bad news for me, because can't use them for microarray.
  
• Microarray training will be on 30 November. Whether will jadi or not, still don't know.
  
• Between, next year "zero" grant. Only left less than 10k has to spend by November 2009, before it gets eaten by hospital director to refurnish his office.
  
• 16 heart attack patients to be recruited.. long way to go..
  

  
   

1. Leisure
   

• Planned a trip to Phuket island, hopefully can enjoy the trip and by that time, I already settle my rna problem.
  
• Also planned a trip to KL and Cambodia on December, but 60% can't jadi because of the microarray training. Another 40% chances of jadi will be if I postpone my microarray training (again!) to next year. (You see, there is quite high risk of postponing)
  
• Will be back to Sibu to celebrate grandma's birthday on October and also see my Coach bag (from Japan) – also means more money will be gone from my pocket
  
• I am officially a car owner, bought a Viva, 2 months ago.
  

  
   

1. Personal's health and love
   

• Found myself recently be more mature and higher EQ, thanks to that old lady in the office and the shocking result of the rna samples and the patients
  
• Still underweight, seriously lack of nutrients, BMI index less than 18!
  
• A lot of pimples on my face, and many unknown red spots everywhere on my skin after mosquitoes bites
  
• Health status doesn't improve much even fed with bird nests and 7 hrs regular sleep, most probably is due to the stress, I think.
  
• Is time to go for medical check up. Something must be wrong with me, I can feel.
  
• Still happy as usual, must always believe nothing can beat me down. God watch me always, I can feel.
  
• Someone proposed a date to me, hmm..

I know talking something bad behind people is not good.. but this lady.. I really can't stand her. She is far rude than I can imagine. What do you think when someone said students from one university are all 没家教? Gosh!!!!!

A question that i cannot answer

My Phd senior asked me a question: "What you actually looking for in your project?".. hmm... i speechless.. because i don't know. =="

Kinda feel there is a risk of maybe can't completing my Masters.. a lot of things still remain unaswered.. hmm.. will see how and what's the next move. I need focus.. focus.. focus...!!!!

Today

I don't know where to start my today's story. I lost my purse, I panic, I almost knock down one motorcyclist, I almost caught by police because not follow the traffic rule, I cancelled my credit cards and atm card, I reported to police, I was told my purse is found, I went to police station again to cancel my report after an hour, I went back to GH and was told my ELISA not works because of my water quality and now I quietly sit down to think back everything that had happened. What word I can use to conclude today?

Stressed

Tell me what I going to do, I spoiled my 27 samples and one RM 3K ELISA kit, the results turned out not make sense at all… how I going to explain this..

Looking for helper! 2

Refer to my previous post, I need someone to help me recruit patient when I am away. But this time, the motive of "looking for helper" will be changed to "looking for good colleague" for me! Apparently, my boss went for an international congress last week, and it was a very very fruitful trip for him (and for me too, I got more things to read >.<). Now it is no more temporary RA we looking for, but we have one year funding for two important projects which going to be started soon. These two projects are collaboration with multiple centre, and high probability to collaborate with overseas institution/big pharmaceutical companies. Which mean, findings from these two projects higher chance to get published once completed. So, whoever of your friends/relatives/colleagues who wish to do science based project-specific job, with stable income, better cv record in future, exciting life like me, please contact me! =)
