I did my RNA extraction last few weeks, and only today had the free time to run gel check the RNA quality. And, i got nothing! The gel showed none RNA appearence from my sample!
I thought i can see at least smear band from my RNA sample, if it is degraded. But it is so mysterious that, i saw nothing of RNA existence.
I need to troubleshoot and find out what is the root problem. After i finish my RNA degradation, i can't see any pellet. It can either be (1) Not lysed well (2) completely RNA degradation
hmm, will try my luck again.

Thanks. It's just too tedious as i thought. Kinda down at this moment but will give it for a try, hope the same thing won't happen again!

both marccus & tian chad are right, i believe RNA still present even you cant see it by naked eye, but there must be something wrong with the extraction, since you can view it under eletrophoresis, I believe the intact of RNA was severely compromised.
try extract <12 samples, or maybe 6 tubes, then make sure the entire process work smooth, dun let samples stand too long with extraction buffer, also ensure you got all the equipment ready, e.g. centrifuge ready for you too use,
lastly maintain a RNAse free environment..
